What is a “South Langley Athletic Leader”?

We’re interested in hearing from student athletes who are making their community a better place and have demonstrated a consistent and outstanding dedication to helping out with younger student athletes in the South Langley.

For example, you may be coaching a community team, volunteering in basketball camps, and weekend programs. Applicants should also be students who are looking to further their education either at a university or a trades program.

Application Requirements

A 250-word essay describing your community leadership, letter of recommendation from your school, a letter of support from a community groups, academic transcript.

Scholarship Amount

One award with a value of approximately $500 towards tuition payments or living expenses while a student is enrolled in university, college, or trades program.

Who’s Eligible?

Final-year high school students who have demonstrated community leadership and have a minimum overall grade average of 75% in their most recently completed school year.

How Applicants are Chosen

We carefully review all applications, taking into consideration not only each applicant’s contributions to the community but also their personal circumstances and any special challenges they may have faced along the way as well as their post secondary aspirations.
